The reclaimed land and lighthouse at Urk

Checking out several sites last weeks I found a spot which was worthwhile to checkout some day. Fortunately my job helped me out, a meeting near Kampen made it easy because it is halfway from my home. After the meeting I drove to Urk and I arrived early enough to do some site visit. I checked out the spot and possible locations. I had to wait until the sunset, because I aimed for a long exposure image. I could test my new ND filters and polarizer.  Just before the sunset I went to the selected location and placed the tripod. After making a few test shots the sun finally set. I had only time for a few images and there was still enough light. I would have liked to stay a little longer, to get more artificial lights, but my schedule was not helping this time. So I had to settle for the light of the lighthouse. Maybe next time…..
